Confetti Everywhere, Six Months In
It's been roughly six months since the first rough build of this site went from a folder on my laptop to something other people could actually click through, and it feels worth pausing to note what's changed. The games themselves have barely moved since launch, but almost everything around them has been rebuilt at least once.
The biggest shift has been in pacing — early versions crammed too much onto the front page, as if every game needed equal billing the moment someone arrived. It's calmer now, with the games given room to breathe rather than competing for attention in a single crowded grid.
A few of the original names didn't survive the first few weeks. A couple felt too close to things already out there, a couple just stopped being funny after the tenth read-through, which is usually the real test for anything meant to be a joke.
None of this has been a full-time job, which is worth saying plainly. It's evenings and odd weekends, fitted around everything else, and that pace shows in how slowly some of the rougher edges get sanded down. I'd rather ship it slowly and keep it something I actually enjoy building.
Thanks to the small handful of people who've clicked through rounds, sent notes about broken bits, or just told me the crown joke still works after this many months. There's more coming, at the same unhurried pace as everything so far.
